Charlie Starr Interview

I got the chance to sit down Friday night in Peoria Illinois with Charlie Starr, the lead singer of Blackberry Smoke, he’s humble & kind and when he takes the stage, picks up a guitar and opens his mouth, he becomes a Badass rock star!

I first saw Blackberry Smoke when they were on tour with Zac Brown Band in summer 2013, and from that moment I was hooked!  Friday night was my 17th show or maybe my 20th (see interview for this joke). 

5 incredibly talented men, with a hardworking crew, staff and management, Blackberry Smoke is one of the hardest working bands in the world, with a huge following not only in the USA but all over Europe as well.

Currently touring in support of their new album “Like An Arrow”, BBS doesn’t get much radio airplay (note to radio stations Please Play More Blackberry Smoke) and yet have a massive & loyal fan base, selling out cities all over the world.

They offer meet n greets for a minimal fee and donate the money to charity, take photos with fans, stop shows if there is a commotion in the crowd, and are some of the sweetest men in music, all bands should take notes and use the BBS formula for success.
